At kweizar.energy are on a mission to empower our communities and eliminate energy insecurity. Africa is the darkest continent but enjoys over 3600 hours (av. 300 days) of sunshine annually. More than half the population (600m) of Africa still lack access to reliable and affordable electricity.  In South Africa, more than 6 million households are energy insecure. With the escalating costs of electricity and load shedding, more households are energy insecure.

We believe that such empowerment starts with the GIFT OF LIGHT.  We are starting a movement to eliminate kerosene (paraffin) and candles, extend studying hours for our children under brighter lights and offer small businesses the opportunity to stay always connected using their mobile devices, WIFI and point of sale devices.  Furthermore, we are offering a reduction in the carbon footprint with the added benefit of reducing fumes from kerosene and risks of fire. We are about disrupting business models using technology to expand access and inclusion.

We are, in collaboration with d.light Design Inc. (www.dlight.com) - a global leader in designing and manufacturing transformative and affordable energy products - addressing energy insecurity especially to the communities who need it most. Through our innovative business model, backed by high quality certified products, kweizar.energy together with d.light are making a contribution to transforming the lives of 1 billion people by 2030, with sustainable products.

Our PayGo technology driven by the ATLAS platform, enables us to bring the cost of energy to R5 – 12 per day, or R150 – R350 per month - cheaper than the cost of candles and kerosene. These clean energy and charging solutions have a profound effect on people living in informal settlements, townships and rural off-grid areas, plus students and small businesses.  Together with d.light, kweizar.energy is on a mission to transform the lives of 1 billion people by 2030 in the Africa.

Our Massive Transformation Purpose (MTP) is to Empower Humanity to Prosper
